MY TASTE PROFILE You should know what you're getting into when you go to a blog. What's my preference, where do I stand? # I like wines that go with food above all. # Which means I like balanced wines with oak and sweetness both under control. # Which means I like most European wines better than most California wines, the ones that are touted these days anyway. # Which means I am crazy about indigenous- variety wines from Italy (also France, Greece, Spain). # Which leads me to value them even more because they tend to have a very favorable cost/value relationship. # And I don't bother with scores, which try to divorce wine from its origins and cultural traditions. And I like to drink rather than sip. (Which leads us right back to the first item.)
