Chiming acid
Whilst reviewing a new Chardonnay released by Chateau Montelena, our man in Memphis wrote:
"The texture is so opulent that it’s almost
talc-like, yet the wine is never ponderous or overwhelming because it’s
permeated by chiming acid and a profound mineral quality."

Awesome, FK. Awesome. Seriously. Wish the hell I'd thought of it.
Chapeau, as they'd say in Italy.

No, really, it made me jealous. "Chiming acids" -- perfect phrase, clear as a bell.
