Yeah, this is off-topic too. Sorry. (Well, not really.)
I'll cut to ye chase.
Does anyone have a digital copy of Jerry Ivan Allison's "Real Wild Child," which he recorded in about 1958? Iggy Pop and others have recorded the song and even used Jerry's arrangement. But I can't score a downloadable copy anywhere.
If you have one, email it to me, please!
BTW, Jerry was the drummer of the Crickets. a Texas boy and friend of the overrated Buddy Holly. "Real Wild Child" was way cooler than anything Buddy ever did on his own, a detached, ironic sensibility. Cool cool cool.

"Real Wild Child" ("Wild One") was actually written by Australian rockabilly singer Johnny O'Keefe. Personally, I've always liked the version by Marshall Crenshaw. The version you're looking for can be found on: http://www.fye.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=1958465&extid=df00033
I find that the acidic raciness of a good Pinot Nero goes quite well with rockabilly- give it a try!

Thanks, Alan! I know that JOK was the writer but Allison's version was always the one I've liked best.
And thanks again, this time for de-lurking.
