Strappo is my name
I've spent an alarmingly relaxing few days with Gianpaolo Paglia and his family. So any post about wine -- remember our topic? -- I might have promised has been sidelined while I swim in the aquamarine water and eat seriously good food at Aurora in Magliano, where they recommended Paglia's Capatosta to accompany a fantastic filetto di manzo. Beef fillet, that is. It was a good pairing. I have indeed tasted wine and taken notes, but the posts are going to wait a while longer.
I must dash, because I am going down to babysit Gianpaolo's and Justine's three adorable little kids while they have a rate treat: dinner by themselves. Pray God the littlest one doesn't need to be changed. Not that I haven't done my bit, of course. Still, I'm out of practice.
Their oldest, Oliver, has given me a new name: Strappo. Yes, I am he, the legendary Strappo. Sounds like a brutal warrior or someone who's very messy, since Oliver heard "Terry" and immediately Italianized it to "Strappo" from the word strappare, to tear. As in rip it up, tear it up. Well, the kids are charming as hell, following in their parents' footsteps. Justine is a pip.
That's old-school American slang, by the way. It's a good thing.

You finally have a wine named after you.
