All Italian journalists are Charlie Rose?
I have to post this, thumbs and all. I'm sitting here at the hotel listening to a wine journalist interviewing a wine maker. And guess who's doing all the talking and little of the listening.
The journalist's questions, really expansive comments, cover everything from the benefits of blends vs monovarietals among Tuscan whites, packaging and marketing to international selling challenges. The winemaker may respond briefly but is quickly overridden with new commentary masquerading as a question.
This type of interviewing is focused on the ego of the reporter (I use the term loosely). It's what makes Charlie Rose, aka Ramblin' Rose of Public Television fame, so unwatchable.
Really, people like that should just start a blog and minimize their infliction of eogtistical boringness on a few self-selected masochists.
Have a nice day, Mr. Sader-Masoch.
